New Border Control Frequency Rates Effective Soon
The European Commission has officially published Implementing Regulation (EU) 2026/1101, introducing key updates to the frequency of identity and physical checks for plants, plant products, and other objects entering the EU.
Lower Risk, Fewer Checks (Decreased Frequencies)
Cut Flowers: Aster (Zimbabwe), Dianthus (Türkiye), Gypsophila (Kenya), and Rosa (Zambia)
Higher Risk or Low Volumes, More Checks (Increased Frequencies)
Cut flowers (Gypsophila from Ecuador, Rosa from Colombia), avocados from all third countries, ginger from Peru, and turmeric from Thailand and Peru.
