EU Clears Millions in State Aid for Hankook's New Tire Line
The European Commission has officially cleared a €71.6 million state aid package from the Hungarian government to support a major expansion at the Hankook Tire & Technology plant in Central Transdanubia. This funding acts as a key incentive for a much larger €538 million project designed to diversify the facility’s output. While the factory currently focuses on tires for cars and light trucks, this investment will allow it to establish a dedicated manufacturing line for heavy-duty truck and bus tires.
